Darn, I haven’t seen Longhorn cheddar here....I didn’t even think about it until now.
Any idea why only Longhorn works?

Back in the day when I was raising a big family I bought a whole horn of Longhorn at a time, sliced it and wrapped for the freezer.
It was cheaper that way.
I use cheddar cheese that is already shredded and it works just fine.
