US jobless claims total higher-than-expected 229,000 last week Thanks for posting. I didn't see it anywhere earlier when I was looking.
To: Jane Long
I think you found the right store.
It’s a shame that retailers are willing to hurt their bottom line just because they hate Trump.
Mike will get through this but it is such a shame.
My oldest daughter refuses to shop at Walmart and I may just have to follow her example.
Only problem I have is there isn’t much else around.

Yes! I saw that, when I was clicking around, on their site.
I may have to try to get to the SA or College Station stores.
Sounds like an interesting place to peruse!!

I have never liked or shopped at Walmart. I go occasionally now for some supplements that are carried and less expensive.
Last time I went I was just going to pick up a few grocery items, and was surprised to find they had (just a few) packages of ground lamb, for $2 less than HEB, so I picked one package.

I feel bad for folks who’ve still been in the stock market...for retirement accounts, etc.
I have an elderly aunt who worked hard (real estate) and socked away a nice savings nest egg, for herself.
It was all but obliterated during 0bammy’s reign of terror.
Now, this :-(

I shudder to think about what it is going to be like in the next couple of years.
Will it be impossible to turn around all the destruction?

Philly Fed Plunges Into Contraction For First Time Since COVID Lockdowns
Another day, another disappointing macro data point in the US economy. While ‘hard’ data has been tumbling, we now see the usual optimism-filled ‘soft’ survey data giving up hope as Philly Fed’s business barometer plunged into contraction in June (from +2.6 to -3.3), notably missing expectations of a small rebound to +5.0.
This is the first contraction since the COVID lockdowns of 2020...

I have to have faith that the dims/rinos are doing all this for naught.
They haven’t been able to even touch Trump in the past and it has only revved up the base more and turned on more peeps to Trump and his policies.
An utter FAILURE for the left!
Watching Trump kick some butt will be popcorn worthy for sure.

We used to have KMart and I shopped there more than at Walmart.
If I can get what I need at Safeway, I’ll pay a higher price to avoid Walmart.
