Why are people getting away with saying that unemployment is great, only 3.5%. Millions of people that are unemployed but not looking for jobs make that number FAKE, like so much else in our failing Country. There were 7 million more people working during the Trump Administration than there are now. Stop saying that unemployment is low!

Wholesale inflation climbs 10.8% in May, hovering near 40-year high
Economists expected wholesale inflation to jump 10.9% in May
By Megan Henney
FTA
Wholesale prices accelerated again in May as inflation continued to hover near a 40-year high, the result of strong consumer demand, pandemic-related supply chain snarls and the Russian war in Ukraine.
The Labor Department said Tuesday that its producer price index, which measures inflation at the wholesale level before it reaches consumers, climbed 10.8% in May from the previous year. On a monthly basis, prices grew by 0.8%. Although that was slightly lower than the 10.9% forecast from Refinitiv economists, it suggests that inflationary pressures in the economy remain strong.

Good morning, gub.
If we calculated inflation the same way we did 40 years ago, the inflation rate would actually be 17%.
Hope there is light traffic for you on the way in this morning.

Yes, inflation is killing us, no matter how you look at it.
Thank you for the sentiment about the traffic, but I'm milking this work-at-home for as long as possible. So the only traffic I am encountering this morning is my dogs coming into my office for belly rubs.

We've goin’ down!
The US Treasury 10Y-5Y yield curve has gone into negative territory (which usually occurs before a recession). At the same time, US mortgage rates are climbing like Tom Cruise in “Top Gun: Maverick” to 5.87% as The Fed tightens its choke hold on markets.

Thanks, both of you, for the wonderful, REAL President’s Birthday breakfast and cake.
He deserves the best! We, as usual, benefit.
Ouch! Poor Greg Kelly got the 10 p.m. boot.
Too bad they left Spicer & Co in that new line up. :- /
Bolling up against Tucker. That’s a toughie. But, glad to see him in the Prime time lineup.
Good morning, Gran!
