If this failure of a cop was the chief of the school district, he didn’t have a master key to the school. Don’t the school cops have access?

We need common sense gun mental health screening.
Every gun in the country should be required to pass a psych exam and undergo a background check including their social media posting history.
Enough of this, we must stop guns from raping, robbing and disseminating misinformation.
We need to give guns longer prison sentances too.

That does not mean that "Chief" Arredondo could not have handed operational control over to the Uvalde PD, the Uvalde County Sheriff's Office, or the Texas Highway Patrol. Rural PDs and SOs routinely, and gratefully, hand murder investigations in their bailiwick over to the Texas Rangers. Arredondo did not even have to stop being the incident commander -- he could have appointed an operations commander to handle tactical planning and execution. That is straight out of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), and I guarantee you "Chief" Arredondo has papers, or PDFs, in his personnel file indicating that he has had extensive NIMS training.

The county judge position in TX is equivalent to chairman of the county commissioners board in most states. It has zip to do with law enforcement beyond budgetary for the county sheriff’s department and for county dump trucks.
Deliberately planmed to let this become a massacre situation for beto and other socialists to exploit.

I totally agree. Matter of fact, all those law enforcement officers there standing outside the school and did no of not act should be charged with negligence for each death.
So, by maximizing the killing of children, Uvalde Police Chief Peter Arredondo helped Beto by raising the gun grab issue.
