I was told years back eggs would kill me. Think it was the same years as another ice age and ozone depletion and all the other predictions that didn’t come true. I have lost faith in science.
Was that the same year that it was settled science that one would have serious medical problems in the future, if you drank more that two cups of coffee per day?

Because egg yolks contain cholesterol, it was thought that eating them would raise one's cholesterol. However, it was later discovered that eating the cholesterol did not cause a rise in blood cholesterol in the people that ate them. There are still people who believe eggs are bad. I work with a guy who only eats egg whites if he has eggs. He also won't eat anything fried. He still believes in the old food pyramid and eats lots of carbs and has a nice little belly on him.
