Plus they should have Taiwan-built drones, ATGMs and MANPADs cached all over the island.

Don't forget Harpoons (Ground launched anti-ship missiles).

Harpoons would keep Chinese naval artillery out of range. No way to soften the beaches for an amphibious assault.

They could use cruise missiles, but cruise missiles are a very expensive way to deliver a 500 pound bomb.

My belief is that Harpoons will keep the Chinese cruisers and destroyers at least 100 miles off shore or they risk being sunk. My understanding is that naval artillery is effective out to 22 miles and that rockets only go out to about 30 miles.

You stated that China would shoot rockets, which is why I asked if China had rockets that would go 100 miles.

IMHO, Harpoons (or equivalent Anti-ship missiles) are key to defeating or preventing an amphibious landing.
