Soooo, I’ve spent the last two days in two different ER’s with my aunt.

This time, it was due to a fall.

She was asked both times early on, during triage, “Did you get the Covid vaccine?”

Now, I guess they could have read her chart and it could have had a bright red “Did not get Covid vaccine” from when she was in the hospital from Covid back in January on it.

But I don’t think this was the case. The inflection used both times seemed more like one would use when asking this question as a routine question asked of everyone and it was asked rather early. I mean, unless there was something big and red in her chart about her not getting the vaccine, I don’t think a person reading it would have noticed a simple note about her not having gotten it, at least no upon first looking at her chart.

Anyway, I thought a few things about this were curious.

1) Neither time did the nurse act bothered by the fact she didn’t get it or ask her why not or urge her to. They just went on to the next item on their list.

2) Is “Did you get the Covid vaccine?” even relevant anymore now that people are supposed to be on their 2nd booster? I mean, isn’t “Are you up to date on your Covid vaccines?” really the relevant thing to ask now?

So I’m left wondering if they have switched from looking for Covid under every leaf to looking for vaxx injuries under every leaf.

Also, I wandered around the hospital a good bit, more than once, in search of a place to get tea and I did not see any signage exhorting people to get their boosters.

When I tried to see her in January and was kept from going in more than a few feet due to my being under suspicion for Covid, I noticed signage about getting boosters.

Speaking of vax injuries, I saw one of the worst almost accidents yesterday (vaxxident?).

This lady exited out the enter lane and made a left. Not only was a left turn prohibited from even the exit lane next to the enter lane, but no one in their right mind would ever want to attempt to make a left onto that road. For one thing, you’d wait too long. There was a road not at all far way that had a light and left turn lane. This was a place any normal person would be like, “I hope there is someplace with a light where I can turn left.”

OMG(osh). I hope your aunt and YOU are okay!!!

A friend texted me the other day: “When I scheduled my mammogram they asked if I had taken the vaccine or booster because they find problems with reading the mammograms if you have taken the ‘jab’”

During 2021, I was asked the vax question even going in for basic healthcare appointments. I think my eye doctor even asked it. I always said Yes, even though it was not true and they just moved on and did not ask for proof. I think it's the same as asking what medications you are on. This year, I've started answering No and again, they move on to the next thing without comment. Maybe they are using it to compile data.

Funny, they never ask if I've been vaxxed for measles, mumps or small pox. Occasionally my Primary would ask if I've had the flu shot, but I've stopped going to her and only see naturopaths now.
