Yes. In my case I was taking both (Eliquis) for a while. I had reservations about the Methotrexate as my Primary Care was absolutely not in favor of it. It was originally designed as a Chemo Therapy drug for breast cancer as I understand it.

Following my bout with Liver failure, I quit both medications. Ordinarily, in a less intense circumstance, we try to eliminate one thing at a time in order to pin it down, the problem. I was in no mood for that following the excruciating pain, so I DC’d them both. My PCP highly approved.

In my case an occasional Prednisone PRN takes care of any flare ups, but a lot of people do not tolerate steroids well. I am not of that category.

Methotrexate is in my opinion, definitely poison. The Eliquis is suspect. Oh, and the notion of paying $300 per month is incredible. In my Plan, it was $35 per month which is quite expensive and likely a reason that most persons stay with the Coumadin/Warfarin.

Incidentally, the cost of a Vitamin K Rx would blow the mind of most ordinary persons. They are not giving that stuff away and it encourages people to stick with the regular anticoagulants and submit to regular INR testing.

Talking about two different conditions here. Arthritis and A-fib. The Pharmaceuticals will sell you anything. They don’t care about side effects or more as they have a customer base of billions of Human Beings.
