In fact, not very long before the whole covid craze, I had gone to ER for chest pain (turned out to be a pulled muscle/sternum strain) and before they even did an EKG they gave me 4 baby aspirin. Yep.
Agree with both posts. My PCP loves to prescribe natural remedies like aspirin, fish oil, etc. over prescription meds when possible. She also never advised me to get the clot shot.
I don’t have heart disease but the irregular heartbeats I have mimic Afib except that it’s in a different chamber of my heart where it’s not as dangerous according to the cardiologist. Her concern is that with the irregular heartbeats also comes a heartrate up to 170bpm with tunnel vision and blacking out. She said if a clot can dislodge with Afib, she’s concerned one of these spells could do the same thing. That’s why I only take the baby aspirin when I’m having those spells and the Krill Oil the rest of the time. She switched me from fish oil to krill oil. Either one, aspirin, or fish/krill oil separately doesn’t cause me to bruise. Together they do.
My daughter wouldn’t take the aspirin because she has Meloxicam. I’d take the aspirin and drop the Meloxicam, at least if I had covid.
