Went on with Ms Allison Royal to discuss monkeypox. No need for panic. I give a solid practical approach. Check your smallpox vaccination status if born before 1976. Likely your covered. Monkeypox does not spread readily and it’s easily treated with Tecovirimat (TPOXX). No need to rush into unproven vaccine with no safety track record.

My husband was worrying about Monkey Pox the other day and I told him we were covered. I had the Smallpox vaccine in the 60’s and he had his before he went in the Army in the 60’s.
We have both had chickenpox (real thing, not a vax), so I think we are covered for all of the poxes.
