Most of the cruise lines, except Carnival, have learned to keep their mouths shut about these outbreaks, but unfortunately for the lines many passengers run to the press.
A woman acquaintance of mine, who is a long time avid cruiser took a trans Atlantic cruise out of Florida to Europe on a "Celebrity "cruise ship about two weeks ago.
Yesterday she told me she was diagnosed with covid on day 4 and spent the rest of the cruise in quarantine, because after 5 days she tested positive again..
She said of the 20 scrabble players in her group, 12 had come down with covid, and were quarantined. You could not find out how many passengers and crew tested positive for covid.
"Celebrity" knows how to keep their mouths shut. -Tom
Sad, but don’t think I’ll ever cruise until the requirement for that shot is dropped.
Ms Magnum keeps pestering me about going on an AK cruise. I keep trying to say there are still too many unknowns regarding their COVID policies. In 2+ years I have never been COVID tested and would not volunteer for it even if I felt cold-like symptoms. What are the policies/agreements between the cruise lines and passengers that they even find out they are positive and then have to be sequestered in their rooms?
My grandparents who are in their 90s could hardly wait to get back to the local casino when it re-opened. They got COVID. Just can’t break that addiction I guess.
IS ANYONE SICK.
