Springsteen is a guilty pleasure of mine.

I also like "Downbound Train" (best track on "Born In The USA") as well as pretty much his entire "Tunnel Of Love" album, which I think is his best. Probably because I had just gotten married when that album came out and so those songs all remind me of my new wife and I driving down the road together with that cassette in the tape player.

"Trapped" from the 1985 "We Are The World" album is also a hidden gem.

I just wish Bruce wasn't such an unctuous, insufferable a*hole, or I would appreciate his music all the better.

Funny that you are older than me, and yet I have the exact opposite sentiments about Bruce Springsteen.

I think his earlier albums were his best, and they went downhill after The River.

Best Springsteen song, in my humble opinion ...

New York City Serenade -- from The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle.

Never got much airplay on the radio because it's so long, but I think every drum beat and every note on the guitar, the piano and the saxophone (starts around the 4:30 mark) is memorable. It helps that there's a background orchestra in it, too. LOL.

Maybe it's time for a new tagline, too ...
