I remember high diesel prices from then, but don’t recall how much it effected fertilizer (like today) or overall inflation.
obviously the near double digit was about as high as it has been all the way back to jimmah?
I was at a party last night and the discussion rolled around to gas vehicles vs electric and in attendance was a car dealership owner. Currently our town does not have a charging station but I think Walmart just tore down their gas station to create one (just my thoughts). The car dealer said it costs $75 and 45 minutes to charge the electric cars! (Looks like it will come down to how valuable your time is.) I’m thinking the plan is to get gas prices close to or above the cost of the electric charge so that electric cars can compete, then they can pass their bills in congress.
