I was at a party last night and the discussion rolled around to gas vehicles vs electric and in attendance was a car dealership owner. Currently our town does not have a charging station but I think Walmart just tore down their gas station to create one (just my thoughts). The car dealer said it costs $75 and 45 minutes to charge the electric cars! (Looks like it will come down to how valuable your time is.) I’m thinking the plan is to get gas prices close to or above the cost of the electric charge so that electric cars can compete, then they can pass their bills in congress.
That’s the plan.
Trying to globalize gas price to european levels?
Not even close. Maybe $5.
Big Gov. is now requiring that new cars, which are already heavily computerized, have tracking ability and the ability to turn the car off without the owner’s knowledge or consent. Can see a future market for mechanics to disconnect these functions in cars, especially if the owner doesn’t have a loan on the car.
