A massive brawl broke out at an Arizona High School when more than 30 students and a parent engaged in a fight during a lunch break.
Tucson High School was placed on lockdown for several hours after the violent altercation on Tuesday.
Footage of the incident posted on social media shows the disturbing scene as students punch, kick and blast each other.
The fight began after a parent, wearing a red shirt and jeans, reportedly walked onto campus to confront a group of kids attacking his son. He had received reports that his son, who has special needs, was going to 'get jumped' outside of school.
When he arrived, he found kids attacking the boy's brother who was sticking up for him, a relative told DailyMail.com.
An adult wearing a red shirt and jeans can be seen taking part in the fight and laying on top of a teenager as the older man grabs him by the neck.
Tucson police said that the parent was taken into custody but his name has not been released.
Rosalinda Martinez, the sister of the man, told DailyMail.com that her brother had been released Tuesday night and had only been charged with class disruption.
'The judge had seen all the videos and understood the circumstances and told him they could have done things differently and avoid it all,' Martinez said.
'I'm sure the kids are going to need some kind of counseling. That was too much trauma. One of my nephews had a concussion.'
Authorities believe the fight started when the adult man arrived at the campus during the lunch break. No weapons were used in the fight and no injuries were reported, police said.

ARREST THE DAMN BULLIES!!
Schools don’t like to do anything about bully problems.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
“Parent was stupid confronting a student.”
Yeah. Should have let his sons be beaten by a mob.
WOWIE!!~! That Was DEEP and REALLY added to the conversation!!
Undocumented Catholics?
Please clap...
Paris need to form more Committees of Vigilance.
Our Diversity is our Strength.
That’s why I homeschool starting two years, ago. The school here got flooded with illegals and the urban population of New Orleans. The other public school was too full, so they crowded all the excess students into the elementary school. A black woman started a commotion in the morning, because she didn’t want to follow dropping off protocol, and while walking to school one morning, a black man drove into the parking lot, chasing a white woman who just dropped of her kids, (looked like a spat) and then blocking her car slamming the brakes, everytime she tried to get past him.
I see things only getting worse, and I plan to leave, and sell the house if it means divorce. No more flim flamming and, “It’s like that everywhere”. Because it’s not. Not yet.
Some counseling will fix them right up.
And then get your derrier thrown in jail with no one to watch your son. That’s wise. Lighten up Francis!
Judge would be singing a different tune if it was his special needs kid. Intelligent empathy is in short supply. Preachy judicial armchair quarterbacking masquerades as “brilliant justice” today.
Would you watch your special needs child get physically assaulted and do nothing? I hope not.
An easy way to deal with such situations is to pay the offenders’ parents a visit.
>> Parent was stupid confronting a student.
To the contrary, the parent was necessarily proactive.
“When [parent] arrived, he found kids attacking the boy’s brother who was sticking up for him, ...”
Hey sport, I didn’t have the child by myself. He does have a mother. And sometimes a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.
So go back to being a secret agent Man or whatever the F you do
Gee. Somehow when Frank Borman graduated from THS back in ‘46 things like this just didn’t happen.
The cable TV show El Camino presented a different option…
The cop/parent went to the home of a bully and beat up that kid’s dad with brass knuckles.
“No weapons were used in the fight...”
They are lucky 30 or 40 people weren’t knifed in Tucson.
Blast each other? What in heck does that mean. Do they fart violently on each other?
