On day 69 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian military still hasn’t achieved a breakthrough in eastern Ukraine. The Ukrainian frontline in the area of the Joint Forces Operation in the Donbas still holds despite brutal artillery barrages from the Russian forces. In some places, the Ukrainians have had to give up territory under pressure from the artillery fire. But the Russian military has largely failed to take advantage of the Ukrainian tactical withdrawals.
But the Ukrainian military has been counterattacking too. In the area around Kharkiv, the Ukrainian forces have pushed back the Russian troops by approximately 40 kilometers (about 25 miles). The Ukrainian military is also attacking the vicinity of Kherson, a major regional hub in the south of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Russian military continues to suffer unstainable casualties in Ukraine. Every day, Moscow is losing approximately the equivalent of one battalion tactical group in men and materiel….

The Russians themselves said it would a week or two.
All of our military “experts” were sure Kviv would fall in a week or two.
European countries, U.K., France, Germany were all sure the operation would take about 2 weeks.
Hell, Zelenskyy had a Hit Squad after him, he was suppose be dead within a week at the start of operations.

A friend was excited about some big howitzers that Germany and others were going to send to Ukraine. I wonder if these were the ones shown in Comment #4? My friend said these were made of a very strong metal lighter than steel, and had accurate shooting up to 22 miles. How useful is 22 miles, does it put them beyond reach of most Russian land missile launchers? I think he said the accuracy was within 8 meters. Perhaps someone can provide more information about this.
