Donald Trump’s candidate for Tennessee’s 5th Congressional district has scrubbed the former President from her campaign website, and appears to be in the middle of abandoning her run for Congress.
Ortagus’s Twitter biography has changed in recent weeks, since she was first removed from the ballot by the Tennessee GOP under rules concerning Republican bonafides. Other removed candidates are challenging the rules in federal court.

But Ortagus’s website, which featured multiple endorsements and mentions of former President Donald Trump, is now a simple landing page with the tag line, “Thank You” on a browser tab.

Not Trump’s that she was not qualified to run. That’s on her.

Maybe she just doesn’t have that ‘fire in the belly’ and is just fine with stopping all the work of trying to get a campaign back on track. Better she is honest about it right now.

She served in the military for many years (13 I think), then as Trump’s spokesperson in the State Dept where it made sense for her to reside in DC
Exactly, there was a story last week about how the state GOP disqualified her from running because of residency requirements. She had no choice but to say "thank you" to her supporters and move on.
Right. There have been many Tennesseans who are sick and tired of getting people moving in from out of state, getting elected, and “under-performing” when it comes to thinking of Tennessee’s citizens. It’s a big deal.
