Good morning. Happy Humph Day!
Not much excitement to report here. F-I-L has a sore elbow but doesn’t understand why. He didn’t do that much. It shouldn’t matter that he’s almost 90. Nothing Tylenol won’t take care of, if he’ll remember to take 2 pills instead of just one.
I was able to guess today’s word.

Sorry about your F-i-L. He’s doing pretty good for a gentleman of his age.

Less weather insanity today; temperate mid-80’s of the F-O-Meter. Starting to look at some wainscoting and other mouldings for the house; at least down the main hall and around the entry where I’ve planned to replace the doors, hinges and latch sets. I’ve got a built-in linen cabinet and I’m thinking to match the top rail of the wainscoting with the counter edge so it’s all the same level up and down the hallway. MIGHT extend into the Dining Room, but I’m thinking to maybe take it in separate phases.

At first I’d thought mahogany doors, but I saw they had the same style in walnut, which I prefer:

The county finally processed my property transfer form, and cancelled the onerous supplemental assessment, so I’ve a bit of a windfall coming that should help the funding.
Now, then. Enough of my home improvement aspirations.
Let me leave you with something of worth. Some of you may know the tale; others may not, but I’d warrant none of you ‘s heard it recently, and all may well enjoy it, whether for the first time, or no.
