I used a totally inane word for my second one, just to eliminate letters.

Some days, that’s the only way I can find the solution.

I failed at Wordle today. I had 4 letters in the correct place and had 3 bites at the apple for the fifth letter. I needed one, maybe two more bites than I had.

I do the same thing. If my starter word doesn’t yield much, I throw a completely different word in the second row to find or eliminate letters. (As I did today.)

I am finding that the strategy of trying to figure out which of the possible words is most common used is no longer working all that well... it seems that the less frequently used words are the right choice...

when I was in college I and my friends came up with a rule that it cannot be ‘tomorrow’ until one has slept 4hrs in a row. I had a few long ‘todays’ as a result. A corollary effect; one who never sleeps at least 4hrs can be said to “sleep like there’s no tomorrow.”
