I got all my standard housecleaning done yesterday. The fun stuff like vacuuming, mopping, changing the litter box and scrubbing the kitchen and bathrooms. Also ran a couple of errands. It was my 9/80 off-Friday, so I wiped all that out in the morning before it got too hot.
I just finished dusting and washing a load of linens. Sheets are changed, towels folded and put away and now the day is mine.
I *am* doing something actually fun this evening. I’m going to a Motown show with some friends. We’re having dinner somewhere before that. Not sure where yet.

When I worked for the county in Vegas, they were going to experiment with the 9/80 and the 4/40 (which the city of Henderson used almost from the beginning) but I preferred the 0700-1600 shift.
My day started too early, but my groceries were delivered and then I called my brother in CO. That’s about it.
My FS and his PW are supposed to be coming to pick up a box for donation, and then get some cash for me at Walmart (I’m not going anywhere) but after they leave the day is mine.
My FD and The Guy signed the papers on their new house yesterday and slept in it last night. I’m really happy for them, but not their mortgage payments!

Nah. Berthoud, CO. Out in the country, in a brand new house.
They ordered it to specs. They’re so happy with it, and therefore, I’m happy for them! It’s about 3000 sq feet, 1500 upstairs and a full, finished basement.

I’m back. We had practice, and then some cleanup, and then I took Frank and Kathleen to help at a wedding, and now I might go back to bed.
FS and PW were here for about 45 minutes. She brought some of the yarn she had bought (I’m not sure but I think she bought it in Italy and had it shipped.)
I asked them that when they went to Walmart, to take my debit card to get some laundry money, and then stop someplace between now and tomorrow and get quarters. I specifically asked them to get kettle corn, because I wanted a sweet munchie. I knew I had enough in the account in Utah to do the task, but they missed the point of getting the kettle corn when they went through the check-out at Walmart.
They came back with two rolls of quarters, my debit card and no kettle corn, telling me they saw money bunny and got the quarters. And here I am, still with a hankerin’ for kettle corn.
I’ve been weepy since I got up this morning, so bedtime may come 15 or 20 minutes early tonight.
Well, drat. Maybe you can get kettle corn later in the week. At least they brought your debit card back!
FS is honest to a fault. I could always trust him to run errands, even when he was short person and his ADHD was raging.
So I’ll see if maybe next week they’ll get the kettle corn. I hope. ;o]
