Left to wander with no guidance or supervision, animals can become savage and feral, just like some humans.
I got into an argument with someone on social media who trained their dogs to walk with them without leashes. I shared that I hired a dog trainer for my german shepherd and he said when out in public, you always have your dog on a leash as you don’t know what they’ll do with another dog or if a person walking towards you trips - will they interpret it as an attack. His point was if the dog is on a leash, they still may bite someone but you still have control of them. Idiot said it was poor owners not dogs that are the problem.
