I am immortality,
both being and nonbeing are in Me.

You ain't never lied, but don't go givin' yourself a conniption over it. Just sayin'.

Like Trump supporters? Sounds good. When do we start?

People have lost accounts complaining about such things. Just saying. [tips hat, walks away silently]

Regardless of whatever I think it’s important to support our host. No system is perfect.

I've never used a platform for years and then decided to make it compatible with another platform. It looks like that conversion is hard and it doesn't work.
I have seen those keyword trolls on threads I post for years and it seems to do absolutely nothing to inhibit the sharing of content. Many people skip over them and aren't aware they exist. In all seriousness, my target audience for my threads excludes those who make up their minds about issues based on keyword insults.
With all that goes on any given day, I've thought that no one (Admin, Jim) would have time to manage non-essentials like keywords. I think those who post keyword insults have reached the limits of their oratory prowess and fall silent until I post another thread to which they can retype the same keywords they always type. Just my take on it.
I have trolls who don't like me, and who insult me everywhere they find me. Some I have learned contribute nothing in terms of content or enlighentment, so I have found ignoring them works well. Similar to garbage in-garbage out; they contribute nothing so I try to 'donate' nothing to their attention seeking.
Some trolls labor to confuse others and for this reason I sometimes I debate them. But frankly those who really enjoy attacking me aren't my idea of role model patriots that others want to 'follow' and I think they, too, just aren't worth the time and effort to address them.
I cannot claim any clairvoyant talents so I really couldn't tell you what this site's management thinks and why it does what it does. Observing things that happen, my default reasoning is that he's got years of experience, success and knows what he's doing, even if I sometimes don't like it. I can't say I have more knowledge/experience/faithfulness/commitment or contribution to free speech than the board owner, so I don't have advice to give him.
This platform works well for me personally, and I'm grateful for its patience in allowing a controversial topic like ours to exist, something that is extremely rare in the wild. I'm filled with gratitude, not indignation. I thank God for Free Republic and its interepid owner. May God bless him.
I think for a lot of people our age *cough* (anyone out there under 40?) this format works well.
In 1984 I was introduced to VAXnotes. It’s like Free Republic but with a slightly different user interface that worked on terminals that were hooked into mainframe computers.
VAXnotes was organized by notes conferences about all sorts of different things, politics, music, gardening, etc. If you wanted to talk gardening you read and posted in that forum. I started a conference for heavy metal music.
All of this was accessible world-wide within Digital Equipment Corporation via DECnet, which lost out to TCP/IP.
History is important to those who lived it.

Same. I find their hate comforting and it sustains me and keeps me warm on a cold, cold night. And after a long day, I bathe in their tears as I tear them asunder like a pack of jackals shreds a gazelle.

Kind of wish you hadn’t said that. If I were closer I’d think about dropping in well-shook cans of insulation foam. It’s not a good thing to get me thinking-—about stuff.

Straw man argument. The coding to change the behavior of keyword adding
to remove their potential for anonymous harassment, while preserving their
complete functionality, could hardly be more trivial.
KEEPING it as is, to preserve the anonymous harassment potential, is also easy,
but it does have a cost, and sends a clear message.
It’s also trivial to respond to complaints and give DumbleDore some discipline.
Thanks Bags, I’m trying, but the conniptions snuck up on me and have already happened. Now I just want to take care of my Dad, and see the end of the Movie.
I just really hate it when evil things could be fixed so easily, and aren’t.
A personal character flaw, I suppose.
