Sharon Osborne says Whoopi Goldberg wasn't fired from The View for trivializing the Holocaust because 'nobody gives a f**k' about Jews.

Osbourne, 68, implied there was a clear double standard that saw her fired from rival show The Talk in March 2021 for defending Piers Morgan during his war with Meghan Markle, while letting Goldberg retain her coveted job despite remarking in February this year that 'The Holocaust wasn't about race.'

When The Times asked about the double standard, she said: 'I'll tell you why, because it's the Jews, and nobody gives a f**k.

Osbourne - whose music producer father Don Arden was Jewish - added that she likes Goldberg, and was making a point about showbiz hypocrisy, rather than attacking the Ghost star personally.

The drama with Osbourne began when Morgan stormed out of UK chat show Good Morning Britain on March 9 2021 after saying he didn't believe Meghan Markle was suicidal following her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

When asked to comment on his remarks on The Talk the following day, Osbourne said that although she disagreed with Morgan, she supported his right to express his controversial opinion on TV.

Underwood, who is black, pushed back hard and accused Osbourne of downplaying Morgan's comments and giving 'validation' to his 'racist' views.

Osbourne was later permanently suspended from her role on the show, and quit.

The only reason I'll agree with Sharon is because of an article I read some time back about these young people taking "selfies" at auschwitz. It occurred to me that these young people had no idea the gravity of the situation and just did not care.

That incident may have more to do with time. The human impact of all events tends to lessen over time and with each new generation. Also, today’s school kids may not be spending much time examining the atrocities connected to the Holocaust.

Well.....she’s got a point. Just a few posts up is an article about a marine general who was fired for using the N word - the context was some junior Marines were playing a rap song that used it and he told them you can’t use that word...and while doing so he said the word.

So here is Whoopi Goldberg...a Black woman who took on a Jewish name even though she’s not Jewish (Gasp! Cultural appropriation!) essentially downplaying the holocaust. Yet she only gets suspended for a week. Obviously the standards are not consistent.

I have to completely disagree. My kids read book after book after book. Each year seemed to dedicate an entire section in history, english and reading to the Holocaust. IMHO, what I saw was “over-kill” (no pun intended). The kids become de-sensitized to it because it included several years of reading the same books and listening to the same lectures.

I think it has most to do with history no longer being taught objectively, if at all. There have been three generations going thru getting indoctrinated by Howard Zinn and other left-wing revisionists. They make Israel not about a people chosen by God, but an "exclusionary, racist" people who are mean to Palestinians. And working backwards, the Holocaust was no big deal (according to cultural marxism), and the muslims' cooperation with Hitler meant it couldn't have been all bad.
