It goes without saying that Musk is an incredibly intelligent person, but everything he has being saying recently about censorship, wokeness, Twitter, and now Netflix, is not the result of great insight or intelligence because it’s common sense.
But it does demonstrate how far we have fallen as a nation/society when the only person that can speak openly and truthfully without fear or consequence is the richest man in the nation. Everybody else must keep their head on a swivel and speak in a hushed voice.

Yeppers... I think he is on the board of directors..
I quit netflix the same day I found that out..
I do too. I fully understand energy densities, scale of production, fuel sources …. But hell I might buy one of his zip cars (that I always associated with geeks and panty sniffers) just to support. I wonder how much it would cost to orbit a bowling ball or sponsor a starling satellite? Probably way more than one of his zip up cars that I would have to drive 100 miles to get any service.
Note to Musk - put in a damn Huntsville AL zip car repair centers there. The idiots have a ton of them in town. It’s the latest fashion. I’m tired of hearing about people having to go to Nashville.
Shout out to Toyota. Thx for $222M expansion on the GAS engine facility. Btw Yankees we still don’t have indoor plumbing in Alabama, we are all still sharecropper here, and poison Ivey grows on the front door. Just saying so you can stay away.
Which show was this?
I gave up on Netflix’s Richard Cornwell’s “The Last Kingdom” series Season 5 Episode 1. Didn’t finish watching it. They introduced a Bishop character who was a black Anglo-Saxon, Briton or something. Totally out of place for 8th century Britain! I won’t be watching any more of the series! I agree with you, one watches a historical drama (yes they are fictional!) like that to get a feel for the times. Poor casting like that just destroys the whole connection that I thought such shows were trying to create.
If they’re so desperate for black actors to have parts do some stories\historical dramas where it makes sense!
There’s a decent cop/detective show I watched on there.
I can’t remember the name right now though...
Also, if Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot is on there, I enjoy them.
Obama, besides being on the NF board, is also hosting a series titled “our Great National Parks”. One of the parks featured is in, I kid you not, Kenya.
Imagine if they had done “Roots” with white or Asians playing the African slaves. What insanity.
Agatha Christie’s Marple and Hercule Poirot are both on there along with the ORIGINAL All Creatures Great and Small, Foyles War, Father Brown and many others.
Midsomer Murders has about 25 seasons on there, and most of the seasons are good.
I just watched up, which is a documentary. It was filmed every seven years starting when children were 7 in 1963. It just ended with the children being 63. It was a good thing to watch, however since it was every seven years, they recapped the story each time. So it is important to have fast forward abilities to get through the repetitive stuff after 21 UP.
I wish I could find a streaming scandinavian and a streaming Russian channel.
I watched and enjoyed those on Netflix. But they didn’t really bother to find more.

Stop. You’re kidding, right?
Father Brown a.k.a. Mr. Weasley in Harry Potter.
You have many hours of entertainment ahead of you...
Exactly !
Do I have to mentally recreate the scenes with the ‘proper characters’? If I do then I might as well be listening to radio dramatizations!
What is on either of those?
Only thing I can think of are those Girl Who Played with Fire, Dragon Tattoo, and the other one...
the list are the ones I have already watched over the past year and a half. I watch one show each evening. there are a lot of neat things to watch yet. very deep catalog.
Occasionally find a show that looks good but it is newer and they put leftist dogma in.
So I stick with the older shows.
I only got the episode where the queer black FBI agent was blowing the white FBI agent. I've heard later the FBI bones one of the rednecks. Sorry but I have a no homo policy.
