It’s similar to the situation where a culture meets another culture for the first time. Think Spanish/Aztecs, Pilgrims/Indians, Japanese/Westerners. They are afraid of each other because societal norms are different for each group. Each group then attempts to project their own societal norms on the other group and unless a understanding can be arrived upon, a disaster usually results......................

Yes, because to admit that some people don’t think the same way as you is to admit that your thinking could be wrong, and they can’t admit that to themselves, because if they start questioning their thinking, it falls apart like a house of cards.
