Most humor in the Middle East is strange to Westerners.
But it does carry a subliminal message: There is no respect for the one that is mocked.

But I did think it was funny, even though I couldn’t read the Arabic.

Yes, thanks, I do not understand the humor of less Western integrated societies, so I am ill prepared to analyze most foreign humor including the Saudi's.

I do, however, easily recognize disrespect, arrogance, hubris, and maliciousness, particularly when I'm holding a gun and a Video Recorder.
