My dilemma is how to pump it if the power goes out. No electricity, no water.

How about one of these?

I’m not sure how that would hook up with the big tank sitting on the main pipe. I’ll have to study it. The whole mess is inside a concrete block well house.

For a 300 ft well you need a different kind of hand pump; they do exist (researched em a few year ago) but the regular old fashioned kind only works with shallow wells. I remember farmer neighbors when I was a tiny child had one in the yard, and one for the kitchen sink. They didn’t have electricity.
