To granulate our discussion:
“Wasn’t it the whole Trump/Pence ticket that was defrauded? If so, the remedy should address both injured parties.”
The ticket is a single entity and thereby is harmed as a ticket, not as separate injured parties.
The President-elect can summarily appoint a new VP if the VP-elect becomes unavailable at anytime prior to Jan 20.
I assume that, even before the inauguration, the President-elect can “fire” the VP and replace him/her.

The “ticket” is one thing.
But, if a VP is primarily a successor, and if a presidential candidate determines and selects his successor, surely a sitting president can “Unselect”, even more so?? (Scary thought, in some cases.)
