This has been one odd day.

Separate topics entirely, but both about fire. One discussion had to do with recent dreams about fire. One dream (not mine) even being a related theme from your text reference.

Part of it, yes. Take Western Europe, North America, and AUS/NZ out of the mix and this sort of thing is still recognized as sheer insanity. And even in those parts, which used to be called the "Free World", the vast majority of people know it is but are so far cowed into silence.
