The graphs at a glance may fool the eye into seeing a decline after a peak in 2021 because the last data point is only for a partial 2022.

I think it a more honest representation to either leave off the last year until complete data is available for it, or to have smaller increments like a data point for each week and leave off the current partial week etc.

Or another way to do it is to make the last unit of time a different color or otherwise mark it as a projection and to extrapolate the data. For example if the data for 2022 was 1/4th the way through the year, extend the bar by an alternate color to be four times larger.
