Hope Solo, the former goalie for the US Women’s National Team, was arrested for alleged DWI in North Carolina on Thursday.
Police told TMZ that Solo, 40, was taken into custody in the parking lot of a Walmart in Winston-Salem, and processed in the Forsyth County jail.
Solo allegedly had two young kids in the car at the time. She is married to former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens and they have 2-year-old twins. It was not immediately clear if it was the twins who were in the car with her at the time, but TMZ says it was “likely” the case.

My former dentist (now retired) had a framed, autographed Hope Solo jersey hanging on the wall in his office, which is about a mile from the UW campus. She might have been a patient of his. I seem to recall that her husband - Jerramy Stevens - got into some trouble while at the UW, but I don’t remember the details.
She’s been through a lot. And a party girl for sure.
I am going to say that at one time or another, if you drink, you could have been stopped and arrested. It’s like two beers now, right? Jumping to conclusions about whether she is an alcoholic is dumb. And I’m a recovering alcoholic so I know a little something about the subject.
Yep, she’s a firecracker. But, she was top notch in the net.
Sorry to see this- Solo was one of the few members of the female soccer team to call out that pig Rapinoe (spell) for being the pig, dictator on the team who demanded everyone disrespect the flag and anthem.
I think those two don’t like each other. Rapinoe really based Solo when the later said the Swedish team played like cowards.
She and Jeramy are hard core alcoholics. Id even say codependents.
Lots of attempts to dry out but lots of falling off the wagons.

The BAC content is some areas is a bad joke. Two regular drinks (not long island teas) will come nowhere close to impairing a regular drinker, maybe someone who drinks once a year, like at new years.
Agree .05 is ridiculous. .08 more acceptable. kids texting are more dangerous, not to mention the legal pot now. Then we go to prescribed drugs, that it seems a large % of the population are on.

There was an establishment I used to frequent that most of the waitresses had a tat like that - some kind of writing. One had a date. When I younger, it was always like a flower or some thing. I think I will google it.
Pretty stupid, driving while under the influence of alcohol with 2 year old twins in the car. Hope she gets some help.
Be advised, if you google Hope Solo without “safe search” turned on, your results will not be safe for the workplace or if your wife is near. She likes to take pictures of herself in the raw.
