So true lysie - I think I wore out the cloth diapers because sometimes I forgot they were swishing away. Back in those days, the machines were in the basement, so easy to forget.
I remember one of my favorite things to do (sounds like I had no life lol) was doing all of the laundry after the kids went to bed, then get up early and take my coffee out to the back porch where my two clotheslines were anchored. I loved hanging up all of the laundry early the next morning - one line full of diapers and the other full of clothes. The quiet of the morning was lovely.
Yes. I enjoyed it , too. I hung them out for mom. Even in the winter. After several hours, I took them down and brought them in the house. The were stiff , but not dripping wet. They dried after a few hours.
