Speaking of old washing machines, scroll down here - the square Maytag is the exact machine I used while the kids were growing up (they’re 35 and 33 now). It washed GREAT. Fill it up with hot water, toss in those diapers, and let ‘er rip for as long as you like. I loved that machine.

Those washers were great. The only timer they had was the owner. Heavily soiled clothes could wash as long as the person wanted. My mom let me crank the wringer. Back then that was FUN!!
Wow....now, that is a classic washing (wringer) machine.
I remember our neighbors had one, like that, when I was a small kid. Mom always told me to stay away from it, when the neighbor was using it (on her back porch...ha!). She was afraid I’d stick my hands in roller.
I bet those diapers DID get clean. That was quite an antique, even 35 years ago!
Tha machine we have at the lake is the same one my parents had, when I was growing up. It’s a workhorse!!
