How did they get to the point to where it’s hard to find kitties?
HEB has prices listed on their website. So I just looked at Aldis and it has an asterisk by both a gallon of milk and dozen eggs, and this:

well you and your wife raised him, so I’ll give you some credit and the right to be proud!
Does this mean TFT breakfast prices are going up?
Ex-intel officer: Spy agency sought Hunter Biden laptop back in 2020 to see if family compromised
Spy agency wanted to know if “there’s compromising information on that hard drive,” Tony Shaffer says.
“A three-letter agency came to me and said, ‘Hey, we’ve heard that you have access to a copy of the Hunter Biden hard drive. Could we get a copy?’” Shaffer said during the interview. “And I said, like, ‘Do you know what’s on there? I mean, we’re talking about everything from child porn, to, you know, all these these issues regarding the president.’
“And they said, ‘We don’t care. ... We want to either confirm or refute it. We want to act factual. We don’t have a political dog in the fight. What our concern is, is that if there’s compromising information on that hard drive, this is before the election, the president could be compromised to the level of owing either China or or Ukraine something. And this is what this three letter agency was concerned about.”
The agency abandoned the request when it became apparent there were multiple versions of the hard drive floating around and could not ascertain chain of custody, the official said.
“They were in meetings with me when we were trying to negotiate getting a copy of the hard drive,” he said. “And in the end, their leadership said, ‘Stop, don’t touch it. We don’t want to know.’”
I really don’t know. I remember years ago, cats were a dime a dozen. If you think about it, nowadays you don’t see a cat anywhere in the neighborhoods. They all stay indoors now. I rarely saw a cat in suburbia. You used to see ads in the paper all the time.....free kittens to good homes. Not any longer.
I suspect the push to spay your animals has come to fruition. After all, that’s how you got litters of kittens.....an animal not spayed, who was let out of the house regularly.
Now if you want a cat, you have to apply, pay to have it neutered, pay to adopt it, and sign in blood that you’ll practically treat it like royalty. I like pets, but we’ve gone a little overboard the other way, IMHO.
Thank you.
I didn’t realize you switched. But it’s definitely for a good cause!
Kittens are doing good. Every time I see them they are just all clumped together. I figure that must be what a group of kittens is called. Mama is taking good care of them. She purrs while they are nursing.
She definitely wasn’t feral, that mama cat is super friendly. When I quit putting petting her she bats at my hand. And then when I try to leave the laundry room she attacks my ankles.
Republicans Can Stop the Ketanji Brown Jackson Nomination
Even though Republicans do not control the Senate majority, they have the means of slowing the process to insert some much-needed deliberation to this hasty process.
The Federalist’s Rachel Bovard cites a technique that has been used effectively by such legislative impresarios as Senators Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Pat Toomey (R-Penn.) to block legislation and nominations at the committee level. Senate Rule 26 gives veto power to the minority over practically anything. The catch? It only works when the Senate is in a 50-50 tie, as it is right now. The Republicans could simply refuse to provide a quorum in the committee for the Jackson vote, permanently stalling the vote and all but ending her nomination. Using Senate Rule 26, Republicans could avert a terrible catastrophe for the Court.

A fine young man, indeed!
Congrats, gub!
US Census for 1950 released (records are kept 70 years before release):
My hubby, the genealogist in the family, is very happy about this.
Congratulations. He is doing very well
Wonderful, gub!
I hope you got to be in the stands to cheer your son on to victory.
All that practice, hard work and support by you, dad, is paying off.
“and sign in blood that you’ll practically treat it like royalty. “
Lol, most cats think they are royalty and demand to be treated as such.
The standing observation or joke is that a dog thinks to itself that ‘my human feeds me and plays with me and looks after me, therefore he must be a god’. The cat thinks to itself that ‘my human feeds me and plays with me and looks after me, therefore I must be a god!’
Lol, the mama cat sounds like Proby.
You’ll have to post picture when their eyes open.
Wow, that guy tells it like it is!
