Ron DeSantis vs. the Republican Transgender Surrender Caucus
American Greatness ^ | 27 Mar, 2022 | Jeremy Carl

Democrats don’t know how to define what a woman is. Turns out, neither do some GOP governors.

The Democrats’ radical Supreme Court nominee has made it clear that she doesn’t know what a woman is. As recent developments regrettably have shown, neither do several Republican governors.

Last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent out his most popular tweet of the year—one that received a staggering 130,000 likes within 24 hours—in which he blasted the NCAA decision to let biological male William “Lia” Thomas compete in and win an NCAA championship in the 500-yard freestyle competition against, among others, Floridian runner-up and Olympic individual silver medalist Emma Weyant.

That same day, however, the Republican governors of Indiana and Utah announced they had joined the GOP’s transgender surrender caucus.

The informal caucus, started by the GOP governors in North and South Dakota last year, exists to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by vetoing bills that would have kept transgender competitors out of girls’ high school sports. (Though South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, stung by the conservative backlash, temporarily suspended her membership in this group by banning transgender competitors through a weaker executive order.)

Unfortunately, as the unpopularity and dangerousness of the Democrats’ radical gender ideology keep making themselves manifest, the GOP’s transgender surrender caucus inexplicably keeps growing.

Agreed, except I’ll add there ARE genuine “trans” of sorts. People who have one type of chromosome pair but the other secondary outward characteristics. They do exist - but they’re EXTREMELY rare. I’m betting even in saner times, they were rarer than the “mentally ill” trannie types.

Indeed, and THAT is our problem - half this country has become insane as enablers, sycophants for the obviously insane.

The history has gone down the memory hole, but there's no reason for you to know that unless you've studied the era.

Ground Zero for the Klan in the teens and twenties was INDIANA and the rest of the upper Midwest. That was where their national (as opposed to regional) influence developed.

They were riding high until the Grand Dragon or whatever he called himself was caught transporting an underage girl across state lines for immoral purposes . . . I can't remember his name, but it was a huge scandal and torpedoed the Klan.

The GOP with some exception is full of surrender monkeys.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

Stop repeating the left's inaccurate arguments.

Hermaphrodites are not trans. They are people with physical defects.

The left tries to muddy the waters by saying Hermaphrodites are trans. They are not.

“Thankfully, the idiot governor of Utah (a Romneyite who is also asking for more “refugees” to settle in the state at a time when young families can’t even afford a home) got his veto canceled by a supermajority of the legislature.”

Unfortunately, the ACLU has already announced plans to sue, advocates for the brainwashed/abused kids are screaming that the kids will commit suicide and the NBA (and all the other “woke” organizations) will boycott the state.

States needs to stand up fight back for a change and represent the great majority of citizens instead of cowering in response to a tiny minority of mentally ill.

How can these governors go along with such nonsense?

Many Republicans, like Mitch McConnell and some of these governors, are more comfortable being subservient than they are at leading.

People have to stop being afraid of the ACLU. They have an ugly twin sister based in Madison, Wisconsin called Freedom From Religion Foundation or something like that.

A few years ago, they swooped in and tried to bully Connellsville, Pennsylvania, a mid-sized city in our area, into taking down a ten commandments monument.

What happened instead is that our local churches, Protestant and Catholic alike and even a couple of area synagogues got into the act of handing out lawn signs with the ten commandments. So many sprouted up in our area lawns that even our local politicians mustered up the courage to tell them to go pound sand. Shortly afterward they left town with their tail between their legs.

We are in the neighboring county and had a Democrat majority on our county commission at the time. However, the lawn sign campaign was so effective that their vote was unanimous to lend our legal resources to back Connellsville in the neighboring county. The jagoffs haven't been back to irritate us since.

B/C they are more afraid of the media’s response than any voter backlash.

“Almost all the governors and elected officials in the south then were Democrats”

Your key word is “ALMOST”, there were 9 0r10 Republican governors who embraced the KKK. Including the governors of Indiana & Ohio. I have read that the Klan was stronger in Indiana than in Mississippi in the 1920s.

The term has little to do with it.

The point is there ARE hermaphrodites, people who have a defect deceiving everyone as to what their chromosomes are. They are born that way.

It’s a big difference from someone who has zero evidence biologically they are the opposite sex. That is the problem with libs…anyone can “choose” to be what they want. Hermaphrodites have proof, real transvestites/transsexuals do not.

Correct. I mentioned it up above.

The Grand Dragon in Indiana was a fellow named Stephenson. I looked it up. He transported a girl across state lines and raped her. She took poison, and he dumped her on a doorstep somewhere. She died, and he was convicted of murder.

That was pretty much the end of the Klan as a national power. Small cells (largely composed of FBI informants) survive here and there, but they are mostly a memory.
