The employee probably would have been justified in throwing a packet of mayo at their “attacker”, but five gun shots, nah, that is overkill.

Who knew that fast-food servers need to carry guns for protection.
Meanwhile, prison guards are not allowed to carry weapons of any type, in case the inmates overpower the guards.

My two cents...
Having worked a drive through in my youth, I can say weird stuff happens. I have been witness to sodas thrown at workers, beer sprayed on workers, fireworks tossed into the window, large trucks taking out the overhang, people throwing up through the window and onto the worker...I could go on. Never, ever, did I see the employee get so upset that they chased down the offender with a firearm.
They released her on $1000 bond? Really? I guess being part of two protected groups (at least) cuts you some slack.
It appears she didn’t kill or wound the jerk. Needs some time at the range.

This unacceptable behavior does not align with our brand values of safety and security,” the spokesperson said. “Our franchisee is cooperating with local authorities. As this remains an ongoing investigation, we aren’t able to share additional details at this time.”
Notice that statement does not say the gunman was fired......and probably won’t be.
