Well you could read about it.
Apparently they were stopping her, then were called to higher priority of the third man walking the highway. They left her to accost that man and keep him from danger. Ironically.
They might have told her to stay there in her car until they could answer the other, more important call (man walking on the freeway, in danger).
The last ticket I got (years ago) was for rolling through a stop sign. The motorcycle cop was writing me up when a woman driver sped right by us. He asked me to remain there while he went after her. I complied.
The way I read it the first time it sounded like they were already helping the guy walking in the road and a THIRD trooper got called off of the stop with her and let her off.
My bad.
But, yeah, way near the end it says they’re NOT investigating it as a DUI, EVEN THOUGH she was stopped on suspicion of DUI in the f’n first place.
Talk about dishonoring the dead; they’re hardly cold and already their higher-ups have dismissed their testimony.
