VANITY I am a long time lurker and occasional poster. I consider Free Republic to be one of the most informative sites available, but I find myself confused with the direction of commentary regarding Russia and the Ukriane. The media, the democrats, George Soros,the UN, the World economic forum. ALL either have LIED to us continually for the last four years or are actively involved in planning the destruction of our nation. At the Risk of being called a putinista or putard I have to ask the question. Why do we accept as fact the narrative that we are being fed by the msm? Well, we’re not getting much truth out about anything as too many sources are corrupt or biased. Too many FReepers blindly swallowing the Flavor-Aid (the real Jim Jones followers beverage of choice) of that misinformation.

Ukraine is a nexus of Derp State/Globalist corruption. Putin knows this. Soros’s puppet is the present lunatic President there who’d rather see tens of million dead in mushroom clouds than negotiate with Putin (who already stated why he was launching the attack, from not wanting NATO on his border to the biolabs (which our gov’t lied about existing, only to turn around and confirm them) that gave the world Covid operating in the Ukraine).
Ukraine was never a real country at any point in hundreds of years, it was a region within Russia and many of its inhabitants now are ethnic Russians (in the case of Crimea, gifted to Ukraine in the mid-20th century, nearly all are Russian). When all those states split off after the fall of the Soviet Union, they did so without having any experience of being separate entities (with the exception of the Baltics), and there should’ve been negotiations to ascertain and establish new boundaries for each of said states on ethnic lines. At least the eastern half of Ukraine should still be within Russia. Even now, many of the other ex-Soviet states are used as buffer zones, which is understood. Ukraine trying to “go full NATO” was a blatant violation of that understanding.
