The Death Of The West is an oldie goldie but well worth
reading or re-reading. Its a magnificent conservative
work.

Correct !
Many newly elected representatives go to Washington, get caught up in the contamination,
find themselves frustrated by the largest slow moving bureaucracy in the world,
and forget why they went there in the first place.
Then, they slowly get bought-out by the corruption, and evolved into the SWAMP that they originally went there to purge in the first place.
I evaluate politicians by what they do, rather than what they say; they get blinded by the offers of corruption.
I think part of it, is fear of the left, fear of what liberals/leftists/Marxists, will say about us.
Some examples:
1. If you opposed homosexual marriage, you are a bigot against homosexuals. We get put into defense, having to protest we are not hating anyone, but we get put on defense that we hate homoseuxals.
2. If you oppose abortion on demand, as espoused by Roe Vs. Wade, you are said to hate women. And that you want women impaled on coat hangars.
3. If you ever want to cut back spending on government social programs, you are said to want people to be kicked out of section 8 housing, kicked off the food stamp/EBT prorgram, and that you want people to go hungry.
4. If you oppose any aspect of this LGBT stuff going on, you are said to be a bigot.
5. If you oppose affirmative action, you are a racist.
6. If you oppose open borders/illegal aliens, you are a bigot and want people to suffer.
7. If you oppose all this “green new deal” business, you are said to want a dirty environment, you want children in the cities to breathe dirty air, you want them to eat lead based paint chips, etc. Plus you want us all to die of global warming if you oppose what they want to do about global warming.
8. If you favor any tax benefits/tax cuts for any reason, you want to take food out of the mouths of babies who benefit from public assistance programs.
I’m sure there are other issues we could discuss. But the point is, on so many issues, conservatives are put on defense by the narratives, and then we have to defend that we aren’t bigots, we aren’t attacking women/poor people/minorities, and that we do care about the environment.
Because there’s nothing wrong with the Beatles.

Because conservatives think it’s a political battle, it isn’t and never was.
Leftism is an atheist religion. This is a spiritual battle.

O to bad schools. Downsize if you have to and stay home. No crappy agenda driven schools, teachers, friends, parents of friends, friends of parents, movies tv. Zero computer. Ine centrally located computer in the house. Zero bad movies. Learn literature if you cant figure out what a bad movie is. No Facebook. No tik tok. None
Find out how quickly a youg adult gets accepted into a job a masters program with no Facebook or social media history.

That’s the motto of a wimpy parent.
I was a college kid in the late 60's. Those who preached "do your own thing", "of it feels good-do it!", "down with the establishment ", "free speech" are the establishment today and now preaching the opposite. Irony, huh?
“Step 1: Stop calling them liberals. “
Step 2: Stop calling them Conservatives.
A) Trust no politician! Especially on the federal level.
B) Trust no government employee. Especially on the federal level
C) Stop thinking, “the next election will do the trick”.
Those days are well in the past.

Bottom line
For the Left:
People are alway envious of their neighbor if it looks like he has more ! Also its easy to sell the idea of the government as Santa Claus.
For the Right:
Its the voice of your Dad telling you to straighten up, mow the lawn and no you can have the car tonight!
Because a) conservatives have zero representation in government, unless you count actors who pretend to be conservatives, but actually hate us. And b) conservative voters are, for the most part, sufficiently impressed by these actors enough to keep re-nominating them.
