Which make me continue to wonder why the N.O.W. folks aren't jumpin straight up and straight down screaming at the top of their lungs about all this ?

Because their cause was never about the equality of women. It was part of the commie plan. One part was get them out of the homes. That meant less time with their kids. Let the commies have more sway over our children.

Another part was blurring of the genders. Raise up homosexuality and perversity. And to feminize the men.

And it seems they are cutting their own throats...I don't get it.

This was and supposedly still is, their founding mission:

They now have 6 core issues, one of which is:

And the main objective was to destroy the family, the basic unit of our civilization. They have done very well with that by taking mothers out of the home, by denigrating the important work of caring for one’s own children and for proper homemaking.
