He a lib.
In his mind you should not buy a vehicle that is bigger than what HE thinks you need................
“there’s no way to make a buck unless it’s large, expensive, and skips the CAFE rules by being a truck/SUV.”
And there you have it. It’s also explains why the Ford exec is talking out of both sides of his mouth.
The old Maverick was the cheapest car in the Ford line, until Pinto came out.
This Maverick is the cheapest pickup in their lineup.
Plus, it’s already trademarked to them so they don’t have to register it.........................
Couple weeks ago I saw what looked to be a 1960 something galaxy 500 V-8 in my church’s parking lot.
That car had more chrome on the bumpers than all the chrome on all the cars I’ve ever owned....and looked like you could drive it through a brick wall and not even get a dent.
Lol!
I have a 2009 Ford Ranger,4x4 with 231,000 miles. I absolutely love my truck but I live in the salty, wintered, northeast and it’s starting to rot. I changed the oil religiously every 3,000 miles. I’ve rebuilt the transmission but the motor runs like a champ. I’ve changed every part except the muffler. But getting it fixed was a lot cheaper than buying a new vehicle. I may be looking into this in the future.
I have a 94 Mazda B3000/Ford Ranger truck that I mostly keep at my farmhouse. It came with 202k miles on it, but I only paid $1000 for it about 7 years ago. I’ve put a few thousand $ in normal maintenance into it since then, but we’ve since built 2 rental houses, moved our primary residence and done countless other projects requiring it. It’s been an absolute workhorse, easily paying for itself many many times over. I’ll never go without a pickup truck again.
A sedan isn’t much more useful than an elevator in a one-story house.
Must be the John McCain of cars: oversized promise, undersized performance, and it tends to veer left.
Because everyone wants one to replace the family car. That means a large crew cab to fit the whole family comfortably and a large bed to handle most jobs.
The Maverick John McCain..................
Me driving a pickup truck compensates for me not having a penis. It tells the world that I am not a gal to be messed around with!
My first car was a ‘70 maverick that was worn out. Between it being pretty ragged and 3 on the three no one asked to borrow it.
ranger redo?
An AR-15 will do that a lot cheaper..................
Ford seems to be on a retro-KICK..............
My BFF has something like that. I just have a couple of pistols. A Smith and Wesson something or another with bullets, and some little gun thingy that she gave me for my purse. Now she has an arsenal.
My daughter carries a .38 in her purse at all times............................

So, this is a Car Karen? Telling people what they should or should not do?
