Who knew jail could be unpleasant? This is five days into the 150 he is sentenced to serve and the 75 he might serve if he behaves, which he isn’t. Some folks are slow learners.

All it took for me was one night in the drunk tank in college.

“Who knew jail could be unpleasant?”

A neighbor of ours missed/forgot a court date so they showed up to arrest him. I think he had to spend two weeks in jail. But, that wasn’t long enough to send him to an actual prison, so they kept him in the local jail.

He said most folks in there were held for a day or two. So the jail only served three meals. Scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast, PBJ for lunch, and two corn dogs with canned corn for dinner.

“Okay - two to three days I could handle that. But two weeks!? If I never see another corn dog in my life that will be fine by me!”
