Ukrainian police said Sunday that a U.S. video journalist was killed in the Kyiv suburb of Irpin, which has been devastated by Russian attacks as Moscow’s invasion enters its third week.

Although the police statement described the filmmaker, Brent Renaud, as a New York Times staffer, he is a former contributor who was not on assignment in Ukraine at the time, according to the Times.

Sorry

I’ve never seen such propaganda across the board as we have been inundated with since this started from western media and tech

They all ape one another and stamp out dissent

Right now anyone promoting Russian perspective on Facebook etc will be shut down

Yet the openly NeoNazi Azov and Right Sector are being allowed freedom on all google and zuckerberg products

It doesn’t matter the percentage....it’s a deluge and they all say the same thing

Take bio labs

I first heard this and thought it was bunk

Then the west denies denies denies

Then I think National Pulse...allied with Bannon...found DOD docs stating DOD funded 30-40 of these and then I think a major paper in back pages confirmed it

Then Nulamd admits to Rubio on live tv.....surprisingly

Then they all claim it was just all innocuous no big deal

Then the party line became damn we better be on guard lest the Russians use this stuff.....like the Russians needed our biochem.....they have their own

Now the line is “the Russians. Plan to use biochems”

It’s just Lie after Lie compounded

And the echo run show the same from The Nation to National Review Hannity and Levin

A handful of skeptics

All that worries me exponentially more than Putin

Nice timeline! Scary how people here who knew they were getting played over vaccines are sucking up all the media lies about Ukraine...just when I thought we were wising up to the media.

We will take our chances. Seeing Russian lack of military coordination on full display, I feel pretty good about it. Putin will fall from this.

It’s downright disheartening and frightening, isn’t it?

Hard to see much of anything here that isn’t filtered, so who knows. Overall, by the size of the military they had at the beginning, I think Russia figured Ukraine was weak, which was a pretty reasonable assumption given how poor and corrupt they are. But Russia didn’t know was that the West was dumping in huge amounts of weapons (something Trump mentioned early on), so they got caught flat-footed. I think their planning will be more conservative in the future, such as 500,000 troops (probably forcing a call-up of reserves), rather than 200,000, for example.

Trump pumped a lot of weapons in there....started modernizing our nuclear warheads too. We must prepare to fight a two theater war.

“Trump pumped a lot of weapons in there....started modernizing our nuclear warheads too. We must prepare to fight a two theater war.”

Glad to hear, thanks. Hopefully the nuke modernization doesn’t include too many Chinese parts.

I do think the West, at a minimum, needs to double its military spending to have a prayer of being strong enough to NOT have to get into wars. Sadly, I don’t see anyone being lifting a finger...it’s almost like they want to cede world leadership to China or China/Russia.

“Do you have a link for that?”

Sorry, not yet, just circumstantial. Too much doesn’t add up.

“And, on the contrary, what benefit is it to Russia to kill him, knowing the blowback that would occur?”

There will be no blowback. Russia is already under sanctions, excoriated for years by the Western media, and suffering embarrassment in its military invasion of Ukraine. This is NOTHING.

“Can you think of anything gained for them?”

Yes, fewer reporters on the scene to document what they’re doing. But you’re making another mistake. Why are you assuming this was a deliberate attack on reporters rather than a deliberate attack on unknowns carried out by frightened Russian conscripts?

“At worst, it was an accident, as far as I can tell, and certainly not something to start WW3 over.”

And who is calling for WWIII over this? How many straw men are you going to create over this one incident?

Try watching the Sunday news, particularly the trigger-finger Republicans.

“There will be no blowback. Russia is already under sanctions, excoriated for years by the Western media, and suffering embarrassment in its military invasion of Ukraine. This is NOTHING.”

Lots of blowback. Ukraine DESPERATELY needs this war to widen to stand a chance. Framing the killing of a journalist on Russia, knowing that the media will then parrot it, brings them that much closer to making it a European war (at a minimum).

I won’t rule out an accident, although it wasn’t being reported as such, at least initially.

As to fewer reporters, plenty of options for Russia other than intentionally killing the reporter and leaving his body to be found for Ukraine’s benefit. Among them are taking him as a POW, or getting his body out of the way - perhaps in one of those ‘mobile crematoriums’. Oh, never mind, that was debunked as FAKE NEWS. But still just bury the guy and he’ll be written off as missing in Ukraine.

I know that - did I say otherwise?

But he does seem to at least be a legitimate journalist, unlike Khashoggi, who was a political player claiming to be a journalist for cover.

Thanks, I knew when the media/Soros/DNC immediately blamed Russia, without even having time to investigate, that the TRUTH would be exactly the opposite.
