I should elaborate: ‘this site’ is great. Well moderated, great format, and loads of people with real insights.

But I gotta say, we get the whoole spectrum.

“If you like Russian media so much...”

Actually, I do read them, because they seem to be reporting this war FAR BETTER than continuously debunked lies coming out of Western media. In this case, RT is reporting that one police chief in Ukraine claims that Russia killed the journalist (no one else in Ukraine, at that time), but there’s no independent confirmation that the killing was done by Russians, and they certainly ARE NOT (yet) claiming that Ukraine was behind it (even though that would make perfect sense).

I realize that you prefer being spoon-fed from the same Western outlets that Framed President Trump to try to drive him out of office and even jail him, but others here might want to shop around for alternative sources.

First of all, I worked for President Trump and know he does not share your favorable view of Putin or the Russians. Second, I actually traveled to the Old Soviet Union when I was still at the Virginia Military Institute and saw first hand what communism looks like. Trust me, you want no part of that or the Bolsheviks. Once KGB, always KGB.

Hey, if the other guy stuffed in the clown car with you certifies it, it’s basically a proven fact!

“First of all, I worked for President Trump and know he does not share your favorable view of Putin or the Russians.”

My view is kind of neutral on them, similar to India’s view. What I object to are emotional reactions that can easily lead to WW3 or a Major Depression, or both.

The way to deal with Russia is to accept the fact that they can blow us off the map at any time and to work on being strong enough to make that very costly for them, and to also not be so reliant on them. As to Europe and especially Ukraine, they decided to make their bed with Russia by being reliant on their energy and not taking them seriously as a military threat, so they can deal with this on their own.

So, if the media and our government could be reasonably neutral on this, then I wouldn’t have to be posting what appears to be pro-Putin propaganda.

Agree, thanks, as I have no reason to think he’s lying whereas the Western media has been lying to us non-stop.

I am very old school and a cold warrior. I hate Russians with a passion. So when you even appear to stand with them...you aren’t my friend.

He and his brother are from Arkansas, and did documentaries for the spate of veterans that ran on the Democratic ticket, such as Tammy Duckworth. He is also associated with. Hillary Clinton, the late Max Cleland, and Wesley Clark.

LOL, didn’t ask to be. I was actually with you during the Cold War and a bit after. But as I learned about the REAL THREAT to this country, which Trump had to learn about the hard way, and knowing people who have been to Russia since they dumped Communism, I started taking a more open view of them, but never to the point of what our government was doing in unilaterally disarming (did you know that something like half of our nuclear bombs are presently scheduled for dismantling, without any corresponding cut by Russia).

Interesting, even more valuable for Ukraine to take out, as they had to know that they’d get a major rise out of the West, as opposed to a nobody.

Again, it doesn’t mean Ukraine killed him intentionally or even knew who he was if they killed him, it just adds to the ‘benefit’ to Ukraine of having him dead.

Did you realize that Russia has violated EVERY arms Treaty that Reagan even signed. Do you realize that 16,000 metric tons of weapons grade plutonium has never been dispositioned by your friend Putin? Their nuclear weapons that are functional are aimed at us...not Communist China. And, let’s talk about the real collusion...the one between Russia and China. I am sorry but Ivan did not change....and a Bear never changes either. You speak with a fork tongue....embracing Putin sometimes and then talking about unilateral arms reduction on the other. At one point, arms reduction was bilateral until Putin consolidated his power after Yeltsin

I’m not sure we’re that far apart on this, I know Russia is cheating, even openly, as they know their friends in the West won’t give a crap. I think they’re even replacing the SS-20s pointed at Europe now.

” And, let’s talk about the real collusion...the one between Russia and China. “

Yep, we drove Russia straight into China’s arms. Prior to this war, they were quite suspicious and cautious about China...now they’re stuck with China.

“You speak with a fork tongue....embracing Putin sometimes and then talking about unilateral arms reduction on the other.”

Read the context again when I spoke of it, it was to point out the STUPIDITY on our side of disarming while both China and Russia nuke up.

This is why I support having the Ukraine kill Russian soldiers wholesale. Russia is making it easy

Didn’t say that I opposed that - I don’t really care what happens to either side as Putin isn’t able to pay me anymore, anyway (due to the SWIFT ban).

My only 2 positions are that we better be sure we’re punishing Russia more with our sanctions than punishing ourselves, and that we keep clear of things enough to prevent WW3. At this point, the jury is out on both.

Believe it or not, there was one war-hawk claiming that the Russian nukes weren’t a threat because they had deferred some maintenance on them (probably got that from CNN too). Unreal!

Thanks, good to have this claim of Fake News finally DEBUNKED. Sucks for the media when there are alternative ways to get the truth out.
