Fyre Festival, Austin Crawfish Festival.......
If you want something to fail, just put a liberal in charge of it................
I don’t like bragging about expensive places I’ve been to, but I just came back from the grocery store.
We went to a CAR DEALERSHIP last week!.................
Could Pat Robertson be right? Truth be told I was thinking along those same lines before I heard him come out and say it. It is hard for us Christians to wrap our minds around such a thing but those that say God is in control (I’ve always wondered myself) know the historical atrocities that have been allowed to to take place as well as anyone. I tend to believe that we are mostly left to our own devices until the last days when He’s had enough and asserts Himself. That’s not to say He can’t or won’t answer certain prayers. It’s complicated.
My apologies for rambling especially if you’re not a particularly religious person. 😌
I much prefer beef I’ve never gotten sick off of it that I know of but chicken I have at least twice.
If you have ever been to a meat packing house / slaughterhouse, you will consider yourself lucky................
But the new Schwab Industries BugBurgers (tm) are coming soon to save the day! :)
New talking point... “It is patriotic to pay more for gas.”
“It is patriotic to pay more for _____________________________.” - Fill in the blank!.............
Agree. We’ve got local ranchers and packing houses out here selling direct. More profit for them and better prices for us.
Interesting...I didn’t have that perspective on the prior generation.

You will have nothing and like it.
That describes me already. Always hated ground beef and can't chew the cheap cuts of steak and can't afford the tender cuts at $10-20/lb. We eat roasts that get cooked in the instant pot. I did grab a couple of t-bones from save-a-lot the other day. It was the only beef they had that said Product of Mexico. Wasn't too bad. We eat chicken mostly, either leg quarters in the 10lb bag or whole chicken spatchcocked and roasted. During summer, I smoke ribs and boston butts. I haven't seen the butt roasts for less than $2/lb so far. In previous years they were $1.39/lb in Spring so I'd buy several and put in the freezer. If all they had was thawed in the meat cooler, I'd ask for frozen ones from out back.
Started a herd of meat goats a couple of years ago. Someone gave us some lamb chops a few weeks ago and the boy loved them. If he likes that, he'll like goat.
