My neighbor bought a Greenworks snowblower. She’s ill and unable to run it, so I helped her out this winter. For light fluffy snow less than 3” it s ok. In heavy wet snow or deep snow forget it. Also battery life not all that great, although recharge from totally dead is about an hour.

I love my 4 cycle gas guzzler.

Soon to be re-started (or recycled):

People filling up garbage bags with gasoline as prices climb.
Remember those?
Good times...makes me smile.

I have almost two acres but two driveways — one 90’ and the second 600.’

We get good snow and last season I replaced my 24 year old (purchased new) 32” Honda snowblower with the newest 32” version (turning brakes, a much easier depth of ‘snow attack’ mechanism and an easier to use snow discharge chute controller).

Was it expensive? Yes, but so was my 24 year old machine. I paid $2,800 for it, used it for 24 years and sold it for $900. With maintenance it was less than $100.00 per year. Currently it would cost at least $100.00 to have a service to ‘plow’ my driveways each time - more if there was a 2’+ snow.

I’ve looked at the EGO but am sure that the overall costs would far exceed that of my Honda.

I put 0.6 hours on my new snowblower today to remove 6”+ of snow today. Very pleasant.

Best to you both, FRiends.
