What financial steps by individual freQers need to be taken (if any)?

I don’t know, I missed the boat and watched my assets go down down down. Other Qreepers have been buying gold and metals..

I think we might do well to get some cash outta the bank though; who knows what’s happening next!

Would investing in precious metals ETFs (those backed by physical holdings as opposed to mining/services) be as good as owning the physical metals themselves?

Is this a good hedge against inflation?

Stocks will go with the market more so then the metal its self. There is no assured way to hedge against bad times. It’s retaliative to what others do even the metal itself. Though traditionally metal itself been a safer bet.

It’s a good hedge, a lot of the run up has happened....let’s see what the inflation number prints at today....

I don’t know what an ETF is, but are you talking about paper or like a debit card? Scottsdale Mint has a program or is connected to one where you buy gold or silver, but instead of giving you the actual metal, they give you a debit card with your dollar amount.

It looks interesting but I need to do some more research.
