For an 'empowered, super-successful woman' (her words), 2020 Ms Great Britain April Banbury can be rather daft when it comes to men.
She's met goodness knows how many online in the past few years, dated 'more than 100' of them and slept with 'the ones I felt I might have a connection with potentially'. Then . . .

There is no presumption of innocence for men in family court. There is no default 50-50 custody, even after children are enrolled in school. A man-hating feminist family court judge can indulge her hatred, with no repercussions. Plenty of men, including friends of mine, learned not just that marriage was the worst mistake of their lives, but a worse mistake that they believed was possible: "She'd never do that!" Then she does, the family court supports her legally, and the man's life is ruined.
And then there are married couples who still have smiles on their faces after twenty years. In my experience, those marriages are mostly between American men and foreign women, but there are exceptions.
To preserve the valuable institution of marriage, America should pay more attention to people whose marriages work, and the family court system should get MUCH more fair to men.
I have posted this elsewhere, but my advice to young men is to never get married—unless the woman has family money and great income prospects.
There are plenty of such women around, and that radically changes the risk/reward scenario.
Courts tend towards the Marxist principle “from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs”.
That deters such women from divorce except under extreme circumstances.

My advice to men today would be to marry only to start a family, when they are young, and with a lady that has shared values. Otherwise they are entering into a contract with the state where 50% of the time it fails, he will be at a disadvantage in court, and where women files for divorce 70% of the time.

Women should, but they don't. You know why? In todays gynocentric, selfish, solipsistic, western culture, that would require some effort, introspection, and cooperation. BUT the opposite is taught and praised on our modern culture.
For every article you can search and find with some woman telling of how she worked to have a great long lasting relationship, there are 50 counter articles telling young women to sloot it up, its all about her, and that she does not have to do anything because she has all the time in the world.

A good friend of mine married an American woman. Ended in divorce, no kids.
Now married to an Asian woman who is very conservative. Things are much better.
