I did 20 mins of research and Iām not saying this is the only reason. However, Taiwan has been in Tier 1 for 11 consecutive years for Human Trafficking. With foreign brides for sale and ruthless child labor laws the country is a hot spot for the business. Guess some of the other worst countries in the world regarding Human Trafficking?

Having been to both the mainland and Taiwan, I’ll say that I was always more comfortable on the island then the mainland. It was very similar to Hong Kong before the turnover.
I hadn’t had a chance to look at this angle regarding trafficking in Taiwan yet, but had a feeling...and have come to believe that all of this was part of the longer term plan.
It’s painful to hand things over to these guys but I think the plan is looking at the lesser of two evils and that in the long run if we can kill the deep state then economics and communications will eventually clean out the other stuff.
Likely the price that had to be paid to keep them out of it or to play their part.
