Years ago I was taking my daughter to work. When I walked to the car I saw a hummingbird knocked out by the car. I picked it up ( I think 'cause it weighed practically nothing) I put it on our front porch. When I came back home I picked it up and whoooosh off it flew. Sweet thing.
Each year in early May they remind me to put the feeders out by flying back and forth by the front room window.
Awe, you saved the bird. I love hummingbirds. About 15 miles from here, there is a wildlife habitat, and it is summer home for thousands of hummingbirds. I went there and observed them catching the travelers to track them. It’s amazing how all those birds go the same routes every year. I even had a hummingbird put in my ear!
